1.Seniors - Scholarship bulletin #5 is now available in the guidance office and on the following website:

2. SENIORS- There is a new scholarship for those who are going to college for an Education Degree. The application is in the guidance office. Hurry, the deadline is March 2nd.

3. Students: Lewis & Clark Community College is hosting an OPEN HOUSE Monday, Feb. 19 while we are OFF school! 11:00 a.m to 1:00 pm. Talk with enrollment and financial aid. 4. Seniors - There is an error on the due date in the Ed Test Scholarship application. It is due 3/16/18 and not 4/1/18 as printed on the application. Any application turned in after 3/16 will not be accepted.  

5. Next week is FFA week and we have the themes for each day. We would like to encourage the entire student body to participate!!

Tuesday: blue and gold

Wednesday: camo and donut sales

Thursday: hillbilly day

Friday: flannels and hat day. Student will have to pay one dollar for a hat sticker.

All money raised during the week will be put towards a canned food drive that our chapter is participating in!

6.  Anyone who needs service hours or is willing to volunteer at Angel Ministry TOMORROW,  Saturday, February 17th from 9-2 at Angel Ministries on State Street.  Any questions call Janice Arnold  535-9919

7.  Jerseyville Parks and Recreation will be holding their annual Daddy/Daughter Dance the weekend of February 16-18th. If you would like to volunteer for this event in exchange for service hours, please contact the Susnig Center at 498-2222 for more information.

8.  Seniors - If you plan to attend Lewis and Clark Community College this Fall, you can now sign-up for the Early Bird Registration day on March 8, 2018. This is a day set aside for JCHS students to come to campus to meet with an advisor, register for classes, and complete orientation. Sign-up for this registration day in the Guidance office as soon as possible. .

9.  You can now add Ship to Home as an option for delivery when ordering a yearbook. If you have already ordered your yearbook and you would like to add this, please see Mrs. Morgan in C132. Students who choose not to purchase the ship to home option will receive their yearbooks on the first day of the 2018 school year- this includes graduating seniors. Those who choose the ship to home option with receive their yearbooks in late July. If you have already purchased your book you can add the ship to home option. Please see Mrs. Morgan if you have any questions.  Yearbooks on sale now for $70 until Feb 9th.   You can order a yearbook online through the JCHS website or place your order with Mrs. Morgan in RM C132. Do not leave checks in her mailbox.

Seniors- informational packets were given to your English teachers about senior photo requirements deadlines, and senior dedications. The info is also available on the JCHS website should you need it.

Senior photos must be digitally submitted by Fri, Feb 16 at 3:30. Your photographer must email the photo to Mrs. Morgan. A sheet was provided to you to give your photographer for the requirements of photo submission. We can only accept photos sent from the photographer. Your photographer should carbon copy your parents when the photo is submitted as receipt of its delivery. Remember, this is an OPTIONAL service that we provide.

10.  The annual Jazz Dinner Show is coming up, Saturday February 17 at 5:30 pm in the JCHS Cafeteria. Performances that night will be by the Jazz Combo, Jazz Choir, Show Choir, Jazz Ensemble, & a sneak peak performance of the Musical "Fiddler on the Roof." The meal will be catered by Chef Bob. The ticket includes fried chicken, mostaccioli, mashed potatoes, green beans, garden salad, roll, and dessert. Do not miss out on this fun and entertaining night. All proceeds go to fund the JCHS Jazz Department.  Tickets are available to purchase in the main office, or from any Jazz Ensemble member.
